Pinot Grigio originates in northern Italy and plantings can be found in the Lombardy region and in Alto Adige, Italy’s northern most wine region. The grape is also prominent in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. Many new world winemakers are also working with the variety and excellent examples can be found from the cooler regions of Australia, and from New Zealand, USA and others.Winemaking
Grown in the cool climate of North East Victoria’s King Valley, and then fermented to dryness in stainless steel tanks, the grapes are handed quickly and carefully. The winemaking is all about preserving fresh fruit flavours and acidity.
