Buy a Bale (High Country)

Supporting Aussie farmers and rural communities throughout Australia. This drought appeal campaign is providing meaningful support for farmers by delivering hay and other essential items to farmers who have no feed left for their cattle. All donations to our drought assistance campaign have a four fold effect. Some hay is donated, some they buy, so they’re feeding a hay farmer and their family. Some of their truckies are donating their time and diesel, some loads they’re paying for, so they’re feeding truckies and their families. Donations towards the Farmers card inject immediate cash into the rural towns, city cash going bush. Finally the hay they deliver saves farmers cash that they can continue to spend on other items.

Chiltern Art Prize

The Chiltern Art Prize is professionally curated and eschews the traditional ‘country art show’ vibe to showcase an innovative celebration of the local creative scene. The initiative, which underwent a highly successful rebrand in 2018, is helmed by a formidable team of experts – notably, curator Beth Peters, a former gallery owner; alongside co-ordinator Kirrily Anderson, who hails from the creative hub of Collingwood in Melbourne and has curated exhibitions here and internationally.
