All Saints Estate Pierre, 2009, $30

"Pierre was the late Peter Brown’s family nickname and this wine was created and named in his honour. This is a classic Bordeaux blend utilising merlot, cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc. It’s elegant and fine, with the fruit-cake character of merlot predominating on the nose and palate. Would love to see this in another five years. With food: medium-rare lamb cutlets."

All Saints Marsanne, 2009, $20

"This is winemaker Dan Crane’s favourite tipple at the moment and it’s not difficult to understand why. He uses the Family Cellar Marsanne’s lees to give this wine a bit more TLC so there’s a little bit of extra depth to the wine, with just a hint of oak character. This has attractive lemon and honey characters on the nose and palate with a touch of spiciness. With food: chicken, veal or seafood."
